A. Sivets, I. Dubava: Dvojí směna

Dvojí směna, realizována ve spolupráci s Krajským centrem vzdělávání, je happening o neustálém balancování mezi akademickými ambicemi a nutností ekonomického přežití.

V České republice podle statistik až 92 % vysokoškolských studentů kombinuje studium s placenou prací, čímž se řadí na přední příčky mezi evropskými zeměmi s nejvyšším podílem pracujících studentů.

Akce začíná jako interaktivní přednáška Hany Maříkové a Zdeňky Novákové z Krajského centra vzdělávání o přenositelných kompetencích – tedy o tom, co vám zůstane, i když změníte obor, práci nebo životní plán (a že se to dnes děje docela často). Společně se podíváme na to, co všechno si z brigád, školních projektů nebo „obyčejného života“ vlastně odnášíme, jak to pojmenovat a využít ve světě, kde jedna profese na celý život už zní skoro jako sci-fi. Čekejte lehkou dávku sebereflexe, a možná i zjištění, že toho umíte víc, než jste si mysleli. Přednáška se postupně promění v živý happening vtahující diváka do syrové každodennosti pracujícího studenta. Společně s autorkami divák prochází stavem „rozpolcení“ – napětím mezi snahou následovat vlastní ambice a tlakem zajistit si základní životní potřeby.

Dvojí směna otevírá prostor pro sdílení osobních zkušeností i kolektivní reflexi tohoto intenzivního období, kdy se touha po seberealizaci střetává s realitou finančních závazků. Projekt vychází z osobní zkušenosti a z charakteru lokality Borských polí, kde těsné sousedství univerzitního kampusu a průmyslové zóny zhmotňuje každodenní realitu života pracujících studentů.

O autorkách

Alina Sivets právě dokončuje svůj animovaný bakalářský film v ateliéru Animace na Sutnarce. Spolupracuje na animovaných filmech, v divadle i na koncertech jako animátorka.

Ina Dubava je multidisciplinární grafická designérka zaměřená na vizuální identity, plakáty a digitální grafiku. Ve své tvorbě využívá kreativní programování a zkoumá témata kultury, jazyka a identity.

Double Shift, created in collaboration with the Regional Education Centre, is a happening about the constant balancing between academic ambitions and the necessity of economic survival. In the Czech Republic, statistics show that up to 92% of university students combine their studies with paid work, placing the country among those in Europe with the highest share of working students.

The event begins as an interactive lecture by Hana Maříková and Zdeňka Nováková from the Regional Education Centre on transferable skills — the kinds of abilities that stay with you even when you change your field, job, or life plans (which happens quite often these days). Together, we will explore what we actually gain from part-time jobs, school projects, or simply from “ordinary life,” and how these experiences can be named and used in a world where having one profession for a lifetime already sounds almost like science fiction. Expect a light dose of self-reflection — and perhaps the realization that you are capable of more than you thought.

The lecture gradually transforms into a live happening that draws the audience into the raw everyday reality of a working student. Together with the creators, the audience moves through a state of “splitness” — the tension between pursuing personal ambitions and the pressure to secure basic living needs.

Double Shift opens a space for sharing personal experiences as well as for collective reflection on this intense period, where the desire for self-realization collides with the reality of financial obligations. The project is based on personal experience and the specific character of the Borská pole area, where the close proximity of a university campus and an industrial zone embodies the everyday life of working students.

About the authors:

Alina Sivets is currently completing her animated bachelor’s film at the Animation Studio at Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art. She collaborates on animated films, in theatre, and at concerts as an animator.

Ina Dubava is a multidisciplinary graphic designer focused on visual identities, posters, and digital graphics. In her work, she uses creative coding and explores themes of culture, language, and identity.
