Studio Kokyu: Trinity – The Letter

Představení Trinity – The Letter vychází z dlouhodobého výzkumu těla, hlasu a jejich vztahu k prostoru a architektuře. Inspirací je starověký Hymnus o perle – příběh o zapomnění a znovunalezení vlastní cesty. Performeři vstupují do sdíleného prostoru s diváky a skrze přesně strukturované akce a hlasové kompozice vytvářejí situace, které se rozvíjí v přímém kontaktu s místem i přítomnými. Zvuk, dech a hlas proměňují divadlo v živý rezonanční nástroj a výsledkem je soustředěné setkání, kde se pozornost přesouvá k detailu, rytmu a k tomu, co se odehrává tady a teď.

Studio Kokyu je polský divadelní soubor působící ve Vratislavi. Ve své práci se zaměřuje na výzkum a vzdělávání, které rozvíjí v duchu divadelní laboratoře. Důležitou součástí jejich přístupu je sdílení zkušeností, kolektivní odpovědnost a kontinuální trénink. Jejich tvorba vychází z fyzického herectví a inspirace japonským bojovým uměním, zejména aikida. Zásadní roli hraje také hlas, který propojují s pohybem v hledání organického, živého celku.

The performance Trinity – The Letter is based on a long-term research of the body, voice and their relationship to space and architecture. The inspiration is the ancient Hymn of the Pearl – a story about forgetting and rediscovering one’s own path. Performers enter a shared space with the audience and through precisely structured actions and vocal compositions create situations that develop in direct contact with the place and those present. Sound, breath and voice transform the theatre into a living resonant instrument and the result is a focused encounter where attention shifts to detail, rhythm and what is happening here and now.

Studio Kokyu is a Polish theatre company based in Wrocław. In its work, it focuses on research and education, which it develops in the spirit of a theatre laboratory. An important part of their approach is the sharing of experiences, collective responsibility and continuous training. Their work is based on physical acting and inspiration from Japanese martial arts, especially aikido. The voice also plays a crucial role, which they connect with movement in the search for an organic, living whole.
